I have a .357 COLT PYTHON 4" barrel, ribbed. wondering how much its worth.

We need much more info:
Blued, nickel, satin stainless, or mirror bright stainless?
Barrel length, 2 1/2", 4", 6", 8" or a rare 3"?
Caliber .357 or .38 Special?
Original wood Colt Target grips, version of Target grip?
Percent of original finish?
Any rust, pitting, or scratching?

We can tell you when it was made if you post the serial number, or you can call Colt and they'll tell you over the phone.

IN GENERAL, a blued Python in 95% condition with original grips starts around $800 and up.

Its been siting in a its original wooden box sonce 1980, 100 percent original finish. Original colt grips. Caliber is .357 magnum, 4 inch barrel. color blue original. Only number i can find on it is on the in side of the elector rod that holds the cylinder.

Since Colt Pythons didn't come in wooden boxes, I'd wonder if its a commemorative or other limited edition model or someone just bought an aftermarket box.

The serial number will be plainly stamped on the frame just below the barrel where the cylinder crane fits, and opposite that on the crane itself.

Here's a site that lists Colt serial numbers up to 1979.

We have numbers up through 1985, or you can simply call Colt and they'll tell you a production date over the phone for free.
A 99% 1980 Python would be worth anything from $1000 to $1200 dollars, and possibly more in some areas.

the last gun show I went to I saw a 6" royal blue NIB sell for 1600.00 and yes it was sold.my pythons are not forsale:) period.
