Who Shoots Their Colt Single Action Army?

I'm curious to see how many folks actually shoot their 3rd Generation SAA revolvers. I just came into one and it seems like such a nicely made revolver that I think it would be a shame not to shoot it. My only gripe is with the wood grips that came on the thing, I think it will have to be upgraded.

I shoot mine.
People are always asking why spend all that money on a genuine Colt when you can buy a cheaper gun from Italy or US Firearms, that's "just as good".

Shoot a real Colt SAA and you'll see why from the tight groups.
Also compare the fit and finish. Colt's better.

Mine has white paper "Ivory" micarta one piece grips I made for it.

Have a 3rd Gen 44 spcl and just very hard to put it down....certainly feels right in most every situation. Accurate too. The case hardening is as pretty as any of Turnballs work I've seen. I've been offered 1400 for her....but would be most difficult to part with. Nothing feels like a Colt. And I have a bunch of Rugers and Smiths.

I OWN FIRST, SECOND, AND THIRD GENERATON COLT SA SIXGUNS.

The best shooting one of the bunch is a 3rd gen 4 3/4" SAA 45/45 convertible I bought three or four years ago. I have shot the stew outta that sixgun and will continue to do so till the day they plant my sweet pink patootie in Boot hill.
If a gun has a rifled barrel and a firing pin it was meant to be shot. To hell with all that investment crap; my heirs can figure out what it's worth when I am gone and I hope it is a smooth bore by then.

I like that attitude, Will! The collection that this pistol came from was primarily commemoratives, but the owner kept this piece as a shooter which is why I bought it. Initially, I was hesitant to buy it since it's a .357 and I would have liked a more authentic caliber. However, I have tons and tons of .38/.357 brass so I have a great excuse to shoot it. I consider myself very lucky and I can't wait to post a range report.
