I've spotted a Cokt Trooper MKIII for sale and wanted to get an opinion on price. I'm very familiar with S&Ws but not so with Colts. This one is blued with I believe a 4" barrel (maybe 5"). It has a heavy barrel (ribbed) with shrouded ejector rod. I would rate condition at 95%+ with just a little bluing loss at the muzzle. The action felt good and bore and chambers looked fine too. It has wooden Colt stocks. The asking price is $700. What are your thoughts?

Thanks

These two gentlemen are both quite correct. My experience on Gunbroker, probably because it attracts the largest audience of potential bidders, is that eventually it will sell for his price if a true 95%.

I personally saw a collector grade LNIB go for close to 900.00 on Gunbroker.

Good reference point if you want one cruise the local pawn shops, smaller auction sites and be somewhat patient. Don't count on a $500.00ish 95% Trooper Mk III on Gunbroker.

Just sayin.

Thanks guys! I'm not really looking for one. I stumbled upon this one and would have picked it up just because if the price had been good. Since his asking was a couple bills high, I didn't even bother going back to haggle. At least I know the going price now.
