Colt Trooper MK III

I have just bought a Colt Trooper MK III nickel finish and was wondering if someone could tell me the year of manufacture of the pistol, and the approximate value. The gun is approximately 98% plus. The serial of the pistol is #96,43* L. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
