I have a Colt Vest Pocket 25 ACP. Anybody carry one of these or should it be cofined to being a safe queen? It is an hierloom. Maybe I should shoot it once in a while, clean it, and appreciate it and put it away.

I shot one, and beyond 5-6yds, it was super inaccurate. Might have been a combination of the shorty barrel, and "sights", if you can call them that. Add the inaccuracy to the fact its just a .25 (I know I know, better than nothing), I wouldnt feel comfortable carrying one. I'd at the very least want a .380.....

The Old Fuff has been known to carry one, along with many other different handguns. It is more of a threat then a weapon, but it will do - and I could get hits beyond 6 yards, but not much. If you carry it I recommend that it be with the chamber empty and the magazine loaded, which was common practice with this pistol. As .25 automatics go, it is one of the most reliable of the breed.

Smith & Wesson advertised that their little .32 Safety Hammerless revolver was a better choice, and I think they had a point. But you have the .25 Colt and I assume that you don't have the .32 S&W ... :D

I have one, and have carried it a couple of times. From the pic, however, you can see that it is vitually identical in size to a Seecamp, which is .32.
It's better than no gun, but a .32 vs a .25 is a no brainer.

take it apart and see how that striker-fired action works and you won't carry it with one in the chamber. :uhoh:

I still shoot mine, but it's strictly a 'fun gun.'
