Comp-tac Holsters ?

I own a Comp-Tac Gurkha IWB and love it, I also have the FBI Speed paddle and it's rock solid on the belt and wide enough to properly support the gun. I have the single-mag-and-Surefire carrier as well, and they're all worth it.

You get what you pay for from that company, generally in about four days.

MrMurphy,
Thanks for the response. It appears, from their picture on the site, that the paddle holds the gun in close to your body for good concealment. I wear my gun under a shirt with the tail out, and some such as the Uncle Mike's do not hold it as close as I want.

Now I will have to decide between the paddle and the belt model. In general I find the paddle is so convenient that I wear it more.

From the comments on the forums, the company is building a first class holster. I have so many holsters that I do not want to buy a second class one. I think the Comp Tac will do the job.

Thanks again,
Jerry

Their holsters are top notch. However, I had an FBI Slide paddle holster for my XD-9 subcompact and with that gun on my body it was not a concealable holster. It just stuck out too much and did not hold the gun close enough to my body. I think I've heard of others who are able to conceal with Comp-Tac's paddle holsters but I was not....so I bought a C-TAC and it works great.

Thanks, Brad that is good to know.

I am going to call tomorrow and talk to them. I need the holster to be close enough to conceal under a shirt. If it does not do that it will not be useful to me.

Have a good day, and thanks again for your help.

My FBI paddle also sticks out a bit from the body (I normally carry with my Gurkha IWB), but the newer locking paddle, and several other paddles are closer to the body.

MrMurphy,

[..but the newer locking paddle, and several other paddles are closer to the body.]

What are the other paddles that you are speaking of that are closer to the body?

Thanks,
Jerry

I called them today and ordered a Paddle FBI. I talked to both Tammy and JB who makes the holsters. He indicated that he would form it to fit close. I'll post my thoughts when it gets here. It may be here this week or week-end.

Today I received the Comp tac FBI paddle and the snap on holder for CS spray that I ordered either Tues or Wed.

Both items were as near perfect for my use as I am ever going to find.
I don't know how they do it so quickly, but I appreciate the service and the high quality of the holster and holder.

In addition, they are nice and helpful folks. Today I called and talked to Gregg and expressed my appreciation.

I can recommend them without reservation.

Now if my leftie former Marine son-in-law experesses any interest in a paddle holster, I am going to order him one.

Jerry

Yes, it is close enough for me. I talked to JB about the offset when I ordered it. It is not quite as close as a pancake, but close enough. I asked my wife if she could see that I had it on under my shirt, and she said that she could not see any sign of it.

I am very pleased that it does not print under my shirt.

I have learned to get somethin from the floor by squatting down instead of bending over 90 or more degrees.

Col. Mustard,

A very poor choice of words on my part. If he was one of those left wing trashy Democrat types, he would be in trouble with me, and I wouldn't buy him any holsters.:D :D

Can you imagine marine that was left wing? Maybe there are some. I hope not, and certainly Zell Miller is not.

Thanks for the correction. I don't want to insult my son-in-law or any Marine. Especially one who has stayed married to my daughter for 27 years. ;)
