I've had a couple of Glocks. I know, I know, everyone loves them. Well, almost everyone.
I'm not too crazy about the Glock trigger. I'm thinking about an M&P .40C.

Is the M7P trigger pretty much like the Glock trigger? I've got a Kahr PM9. That's the only striker fired auto I own. Does the M&P trigger feel more like a Glock? Or maybe more like a Kahr?

i have shot both and personally i perfer the glock trigger, but they are similar

I own or have owned all of these guns. The M&P trigger has by far the shortest stroke, with a less "sproingy" or mushy feel and less overtravel than the Glock but a less distinct reset point. The Kahr is a form of DAO and has a long stroke much like that of a revolver.

"sproingy"

That's exactly the word I've been looking for to describe the Glock trigger. And yes, Lone Haranguer, the trigger on my PM9 is very reminiscent of a very light revolver trigger.

Thanks.

I've owned both, and I couldn't have said it better than The Lone Haranguer. I also agree with what he said about the Kahr trigger. It is very unlike the trigger on the Glock and M&P because of the DAO operation. Personally, I prefer the M&P trigger. If you do get an M&P, and you want to play with the trigger, you will find everything you need to know at the link below.

The initial takeup in the M&P trigger tends to be rough or "scratchy" until the gun has been dry- or live-fired some. The pull weight - the amount of force needed to release the trigger - is spec'd at ~6.5 lbs.

I tried both the Glock and M&P a few weeks ago. I had both at the counter and went back-and-forth between the two of them. I say, without question, the M&P trigger has a shorter stroke and breaks cleaner than the Glock. Also, the trigger face on the M&P feels better and more natural the the Glock. In another issue - The new Glock texture feels cheap to me. Guess which one I bought.
