I am shopping for semi-automatic 12 guages under $900.
Dick's has two on sale that I am pondering:

Beretta Urika 2 semi; Black Composite; 5 choke tubes; 12 gauge; 28" barrel; 2 3/4 and 3" shells -- price: $899

Franchi Diamond semi; wood with engraving on the receiver; 28" barrell; 12 gauge; 2 3/4 and 3" shells -- price $799.

Any thoughts???

They both shoot. Hell, Franchi is even owned by Beretta.

I just got back from a fun skeet session with a Urika, so I'm biased.

However, these two guns fill somewhat different niches.

Do you want a real workhorse that still handles like a fine gun? Get the 391 in synthetic.

Do you want a walnut and engraved shotgun? Consider the Franchi. I'm not sure what a Diamond is, though. It's not a catalog gun, is it?

If it's an Inertia-Driven Benelli-style gun, I wouldn't be all that interested in it with a walnut stock unless it includes Franchi's cool super-soft, really deep recoil pad.

Which one feels better to you when you shoulder and swing it?
