Does anyone have a reference link for all the revolvers types manufactured by the North and those of the South during War Between the States to be procured by their respective governments? It would be helpful to have pictures of them too.

It's be nice if some of you collectors could also post your pics...no fakies or dreamland stuff please.

The North would be easy, if sticking to official issue. The South, not so much; On both sides, officers often used privately procured arms. OTOH, Google is your friend.

I knew you'd chime in....can you please list what we are looking at going clockwise from the lower left? And...is that all of them?

I am gonna go forth and I am probably be wrong and others will surely correct me. Only guns produced in country. No LeMat guns.

South:

Schneider and Glassick. Only three have been verified.

George Todd.

Columbus Firearms Company (L. Haiman and Brother)

Augusta Machine Works

Leech and Rigdon

Charles Rigdon

Rigdon and Ansley

Griswold and Gunnison.

Thomas Cofer

J.H. Dance and Brothers

Tucker and Sherrard

Good afternoon,
That is an impressive and drool worthy spread of revolvers! I can add that the LeMat was born in this country with the prototypes being made and assembled up North. After the war began, Colonel LeMat had to move production elsewhere. I've got the book on the revolver and if locations are required in Belgium, England and France, I can look those up.
regards all!
