Just got this in the mail today. Apparently I have a secret admirer out there somewhere named "Gene T. Rosentreter", or at least thats what I think the hand-written signature says.
In a personalized NRA card that thanks me for my selfless service to my country was an NRA membership card, good until this time next year. Along with that was something I'm a little sketchy on. In order to activate my membership I need to sign something. Plastered all over this form is something about $6,000 in benefits. Is NRA trying to sell me some kind of life insurance? It claims that if I'm killed in a hunting accident, domestic shooting, or car crash going to or from an NRA event my loved ones will receive $6K.
I want my active NRA membership, but I don't want to sign something that obligates me to pay for some kind of shooting-death insurance. Anyone help me out here?
