I own a Springfield XD45 4" Service pistol and I am in the market for a holster to carry it in. Here is the thing, for many months out of the year I only wear a t-shirt and jeans out, so my question is what would be my best option to keep my weapon out of sight and comfortable.

I appreciate any advice or links, and I am not a fan of leather, so anything but that material.

Thank you

XD holster

I and many others make custom holsters personally I carry a SIG 226 in an OWB pancake and usually wear jeans and t-shirts myself.

I have never had a problem with printing as long as I considered the gun in sizing my shirts. So it really boils down to what style of holster, materials (kydex or carbon fiber), price you are looking for.

Too bad you don't like leather, a well crafted holster is a work of art.:)

Lots Good Choices

Personally, I'd go with a kydex IWB. BearClaw Holsters makes for all models and sizes of XD's including the .45's

I'm also a very big fan of Dan Hillsman ... though I'm not totally sure what he does for XD's.

The XD is quite a chunk, if you go leather get one that has the belt loops away from the gun part of the holster as this produces a narrower profile and less printing. I'm thinking the 'sparks Versa Max II which is a universally loved holster and seems to work great for almost everyone ... and every holster maker seems to have their own version of it. Now, BearClaw is probably the only one in your stated price range and is a great maker, but the luxury of fine leather certainly justifies it's cost.
