I carry a Sig 229 in a plain leather belt slide holster. I would like something a little more concealable. I do prefer leather and probably something OWB since I haven't been able to find an IWB that's really comfortable. I do carry a Bersa .380 IWB but the 229 is considerably larger. Thanks for your suggestions.

Kramer. Holds the pistol in a better position then the High Noon (belt grooves located differently); has leather extension at the top of the slide the Galco doesn't. Check EBay - I bought one for my H&K from Kramer himself for a really good price.

It isn't OWB, but I carry a P229 (357 Sig) in a Comp-Tac C-T.A.C and it's quite comfortable. I don't have any OWB suggestions as I don't get the opportunity to carry OWB very often. Too :cuss: hot! :p

I'll second the Blade Tech IWB. I have one for all my pistols, including the P229 I carry, and they have been great holsters.(I have one I carried my 1911 in daily for 10 years and its still going strong) You do need to give IWB a chance. Once you get used to it, its very comfortable and much more concealable than just about anything else thats practicable. Leather is a bad choice for IWB if you sweat though, and can be VERY uncomfortable against bare skin, especially when wet. Not good for the gun either.

I like the already mentioned Milt Sparks but I use an Alessi CQC/S for my 228.

Image from Lightning Arms Sports, where I bought my Alessi. Expensive, but worth it.
