Concealed weapons demonstration

I got a PM about a video I mentioned in another thread. I was referring to a clip of a high school aged kid who walked onto the Oprah set and for a good minute or two constantly produced weapons, including a shotgun and a Mac 10, to demonstrate how easy it is to conceal weapons.

This is a similar clip, although not the same clip I was originally referring to. If anyone knows where to find that clip, it'd be cool if you could post it. I might be wrong about it being on Oprah, though.

More or less. There are multiple versions of the same type of demonstration. They all show the same thing, really.

Yes, it is the same company. From my understanding they did not make the tape or have anything to do with it's production only the "prop" used in the production of this vid. They are not the only producers of metal detectors merely the most well known. I believe (as always could be wrong) that their market position would be equivalent to Glock in the police firearms world i.e. dominant but several viable options are available.

If the absence of knives/guns/shurikens equals safety why are prisons such dangerous places?

Schools just aren't what they used to be. I was famous in wood shop for having an old timer knife I could shave my arm hair with. And nobody cared, I even used to clean my nails with it in class...in the 80's

Typical zero tolerance jackass. "This 1.5" pocket knife is just as much a dangerous weapon as this Glock" Wow, good to see we have officials capable of making distinctions.

If possesion of that itty bitty knife is just as serious as a gun, then I would imagine a 7" pencil with a point on the end has to be a weapon as well. (Would that make a pencil sharpener a speedloader?) And who needs nunchucks when you have a nylon sack filled with 15lbs of books to swing. Oh right, our schools don't teach how to read so they don't have books anymore. They just teach how to feel good about yourself and how zero tolerance policies are the wave of the future since they don't require govt employees to think and earn their salaries.

Never mind the glass pippets, test tubes, etc in places that still teach chemistry, the paintbrushes, scissors and knives in art classes and all the implements available in home ec.

Well...

When I teach CCW at my shop, I gear up with as many handguns as possible about a half an hour before class starts. (this is when many students start drifting in). I normally wear a baggy bowling shirt, and some form of cargo pants.

Then we go upstairs to the classroom, and I give the safety lecture. (about 10-15 minutes) at the end of that, I say, if anybody here brought their gun, let's go ahead and lock the action open, and place it on the table in front of you, and just leave it there. I'll do the same.

Then I start pulling off guns. You should see the looks on their faces!

My record is 11. And these weren't all sissy guns either, in order from biggest to smallest.

1. S&W 625 5" (belly band, armpit)
2. S&W 1917 5" (belly band, other armpit)
3. Kimber/Bul poly 1911 5" (strong side hip)
4. Springfield 1911 5" (cross draw)
5. Sig 226 (belly band, center chest)
6. S&W 5906 (SOB)
7. Kimber Ultra Carry (IWB, just behind #3)
8. Bulgarian Makarov (fanny pack, front of waist, under untucked shirt)
9. Taurus 85 .38 (cargo pocket)
10. Autagua .32 (left pocket)
11. Kel-Tec P3AT (right pocket)

I didn't have any ankle holsters, or I could have gotten it to 13 pretty easy. One person spotted the bottom of the fanny pack. One other person saw the bulge of the Taurus in the pocket. If it was winter, I could have worn my Sig coat and gotten a couple of S&W 500s in there too.

Now I had to move slow, but not particularly slow. I wouldn't have been able to run or do jumping jacks. But I pull this off routinely in front of a room full of CCW students.

The only reason I do it is just to illustrate the point, that no matter how worried/intimidated you are, you can find a way to conceal a gun.
