Sigh. It all started so innocently, you know.

A friend went with me to the shooting range and he brought along his 20ga.
pump and a hand-thrower and some clays and said "Hey! Let's bust some
clays while we're here." I'd never "busted clays" before. I'd never even
shot a shotgun before. It sounded like it would be fun.

That was a year ago. I now have a specialized trap gun and a gun club
membership; I've paid for lessons, shells and range time; I'm pricing shooting
vests and reloaders ... I don't even *want* a reloader!! ... and all I do is
think about "busting clays". I stand in my family room holding an unloaded
shotgun pointing at nothing. I stand in front of a mirror mounting and
unmounting a chunk of wood and metal whilst gravely grading each
performance. I even find myself reading shotgun forums on the web and,
yes if you can believe it, posting to them too.

I need help.

Oh, and money. *Lots* of money.

Does anyone else view here view this as aberrant/abnormal behavior? I thought we all did that stuff, whether it be with shotguns or whatever else we shoot. Sounds PERFECTLY NORMAL to me!

Every catalog written in the English language that has in it the word shotgun more than twice shows up in your mailbox.

What was the family room now has a couple reloaders, boxes of empty hulls and a latticework of tape on a wall duplicating the angles at trap.

Numbers start being used as nouns, like 1100, 12, 97, 37 and of course, 870.

Your spouse has to dab a bit of Hoppe's behind her ear to get your attention.

Use of the words "Kick" and "Swing" have nothing to do with football or baseball.

I think I am infected also!! I got my first shotgun at age 25, Beretta al391. and a clays club membership, if anyone is visiting Abilene, TX I'd be glad to take you to my club! They got skeet, trap, five stand, zz birds, and a great sporting course!

They make besides the most often seen orange targets , mini's , midi's, wabbit, zz's ...

As if hitting something was not tough enough , they make smaller, semi smaller, heavy rims, and one's to really zig zag when you zing'em from a trap.

I was lost south of home, I was forced to attend - honest. "minding my own business shooting 'another game(s)" ...and was kidnapped, and hustled onto another field. [ Read "honey you gotta do that, you just gotta..." .

I put the Field Grade Super X 1 aside with the Nu- Line screw in chokes . I grabbed my other Super X Model 1 , the two bbl set with the trap bbl ( 30" full choke)and scratched my chin, watched a bit and ...err... 23 or 25 yd line I figured a AA Pigeon load would work. Rumors of monies changing hands at this "remote facility " err.. I don't know nothing.

Two ZZ's. The second one released upon report. I hit both. I quit that game and went onto to something else. I may be dumb - but I ain't stupid. Perfect Score , first time trying, and there is that dealie about taking the money and quitting while ahead. [Okay She collected the money, grinning like a durn idiot jumping up and down]

The really funny part " damn semi can't do this sport"

I have been accused of being a Rebel and some other stuff Art's Grammaw won't let me say.

I shot this low gun as well , not sure but I think your supposed to, some folks were not tho'.
