Conflicting information on LULA for DPMS 308 magazines

I'm in the final stages of tweaking a DPMS LR 308 24" bull barrel variant.

I dropped it off today at the local [well-known, good reputation] gunshop/gunsmith for a receiver tweak.

While I was there I started shooting the breeze with one of the guys there, telling him the only thing that disappointed me about this great rifle, is the fact that you can't get a LULA [loader/unloader] for it, according to the home site, Maglula.

The site specifically mentions the fact that none of the current LULA's will work with DPMS .308 magazines, yet the smith at the shop tells me that the FAL metric version will work just fine.

I have to take this opinion with a jaundiced view, since the home site for the manufacturer denies that this will work...but....that site has not been updated for a few years now as far as I can tell.

Has anyone picked one up and had it work/not work?

Hi Len,

Currently, maglula does not have a LULA loader & unloader for the DPMS .308 magazine, but we are looking to make such LULA. The FAL LULA will not work with the DPMS mags.
