I'm in the market for an O/U for skeet, a little of the other clay games, dove 1-2 times a year, and maybe some very occasional quail. The consensus seems to be that the Browning and Beretta guns are the solid choices. I've shot many shells through my dad's Citori, which I like, but I think I like the handling of the Beretta even more. Is there any reason to be apprehensive?

No aprehension here! I found this BSP I for my son for $900. I own the White Onyx Sporting for myself. I chose between the Beretta and the Browning. I am sure both would have been fine, but the Beretta handling called my number, and I bought it. Haven't regretted my choice at all.

No.

After maybe 80K rounds, you may have to replace the lugs. I believe the parts run about $10.
