Been very impressed with this Lee item. I did notice the other day while using HS-6, (which meters well) that a few drops looked a little heavy, and they were. Inspecting the Powder disc, I found that the two brass knobs that hold the reservoir on had come a little loose. The looser they get, the drop grows larger. Tightening them back up brought back the spot on consistency I have found this device capable of.

Just thought I would pass this along,

Yes mine seems to stay very consistent with win 231 which is the only powder i have used so far but from what everyone says is one of the easier powders to meter.

I have never had the knurled nuts come loose, and I only snug them finger tight. When you're threading them on, do they seem sloppy?
I use the micrometer charge bar, so the nuts may remain on for several 100 reloads.

It has never Loosened like this before. The loads looked a little larger than they had been and when I weighed them they were, just a touch. When I tried to reduce the size of the chamber I noticed the looseness. Perhaps I never fully tightened it? Its possible. Never the less. If its loose, its throwing larger charges. I am using the adjustable charge bar, by the way.

I had it happen myself but I was learning to use the Pro1000 at the time so I think I was distracted. Yes it does dump more when it is lose.

Mine loosened up on me once too. Good to check charge weights every few rounds , I caught it right away.

Yup, the whole time I am loading there is a Lee safety scale set to the weight I am using. Every so often, or if a load looks off, I dump it in the scales pan. Thats how I caught it myself.

I haven't had 'em come loose either.
Just finger tight works.

If yours continue to come loose, you may want to contact Lee.
I'm sure they'd hook you up right.

I have not had it happen since that time. I had changed powders more than once and I have a feeling I never totally tightened it? I have only had it loose one other time. Both times, the load looked a little high in the case, or a spot check showed it high. Adjusting the adjustable charge bar brought erratic results, further checking the setup revealed the loose knobs.

All I am trying to do is just mention the fact to users of the Lee pro powder disc, that if you are having erractic and larger loads than normal (which is way unusual for this item) check the tightness of your knobs. Regardless of how anyone else's knobs act this is fact: If yours are loose, things wont be consistent. That is all.

Seems to happen to me after letting the measure sit 24 hours or so. I think time and vibration settles/compacts the powder in the cavity. Not above max load, so it's of little concern. I just toss the first charge when I start loading.
