That's great news. Whether it gets the support needed or not, it's nice to see things like this getting some notice (by politicians specifically).

I also like (presumably) Dustin's terminology; "Constitutional Carry". I think it's even better than "Second Amendment Carry".

The other benefit of having a CCW, of course, is the ability to buy a gun without having to wait for them to get the OK from DPS.

According to the article, you could still get a permit if you wished, such as for purposes of interstate carry and the background check skipping.

Thats great... I hope it passes. Perhaps it will catch on in other places.

I have a UT CCW, and it really gets me steamed that I have to get permission from the State to exercise my rights.

So far I haven't seen anyone say they've actually contacted their AZ state representatives :( All the wishful thinking in the world won't/can't take the place of personally calling your representatives and asking them to support a specific, and very very good bill such as this one.

Hopefully this is the next trend. First CCW spread like widlfire, and maybe this will be next. I think that as crime and uncertainty rise due to tough economics, it might really happen.
