Just a note to all of you fellows from a decent driving distance to Lexington, Kentucky. The Contemporary Longrifle Association is having their 7th annual show in the Lexington Convention Center Grand Ball Room on AUGUST 22nd & 23rd (Friday & Saturday). The address is 400 W. Vine St. (Might as well say Rupp Arena.) I went last year for the first time and enjoyed seeing the wares that the artisans made and the skill that the gunmakers have in duplicating the fine longrifles, hawkins, and etc.. It is a good place to stock up on gun parts, buy a gun or accoutrements, or contract a rifle or pistol to be made. You can talk directly to the gunmaker and see his work laying on the table in front of you. Alot of the prices were too rich for my blood, but some were very reasonable considering the quality and also that they were handmade. Worth the trip for a traditionalist like me.;)
