It was VERY realistic.

So real I got shot.

-Just a Ricochet... in the foot!
-One of those unavoidable things...
Just a very small fragment.

As some know I have seen some combat... I recomend this class before deploying.

It was quite simply a combination of all the info we learned this week with EVERYTHING going wrong that could. (Tactically)

We were attacked in 2 ambushes, and had to evacuate the principle (See the second pic)

Gear was taken from us, people were put out of place... basically it was VERY similar to combat.

Braging a little: I took the 'object' near the beginning of the exercise, I checked myself, completed the exercise, rallied us up, got the ammo and casuality report, convoyed back to the team room, went through the debriefing, THEN went to the ER.

BTW, it seems to be a bit of a 5.56 core... 5.56 SUX! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!

I start the Contractor Driving package Monday. The Dr Told me not to drive while I was on the pain pills... James said: "It doesn't matter, we'll be wrecking them anyway!"

Thanks for all these updates Nomad. This is by far my favorite thread(s) of the week!

EDIT: Sorry 'bout the foot, but it'll heal!

Is there any equipment that performed better than expected?

What is your estimate of personal ammunition useage?

It would be good to have this presented at 10,000 ft, in both winter and summer (though any controlled fires in the dry months would make such extremely difficult).

Many thanks.

Hey any updates on the AR failures... also more pics...

Seems like a ton of fun and experience...wish i could attend...

More pix will have to wait till next week, and the new class.

As to gear: EVERYTHING fails... it's just that some gear fails less than others.

The round counts do not have to be guessed:

Fighting Rifle:
1,500 Rifle, 500 pistol

HRCC Shooting package:
4K rifle 1K pistol

You CAN get the class at 10,000 feet... AND take it for FREE!:

Thanks a lot for taking the time and effort to post your thoughts about the training and pictures. I would really like to take a class there with the wife sometime.

I hope you got a volume discount on the classes :D

I bet he was one of the Germans.

The one in the khaki pants and Realtree shirt on the far right looks like a tough customer too!:D Someone should tell that one to lighten up!:D :D

She is a professional photographer sent by a large magazine (one that has nothing to do with guns or training) to take some pictures. She was scheduled to stay one, maybe two days. She ended up staying for all 5.

Hey Nomad, 2nd/anyone

Can you tell me about the ak with the forward mounted scope/red dot sight? (i think that is the one you are using?) Is that a Krebs Krinkov Pistol with a folder? So far I have hunting rifles only but with the current politics I sure would like a very nasty looking ak style weapon :what:

Anyway, first time posting thanks for the fun pictures

Shackle, do you think the type of publication you say the photographer is from is going to give you guys anything but a negatively slanted article?

It's a financial magazine, talking about the busness aspect of it.

She was just saposto be there for 1 day... She ended up staying for all 5.
(Like was said, she won't write it, she just took pix.)

Nomad- great pictures and daily writeups! Thanks for taking time to share all this great info.

Negative articles are going to be written anyway. We have found it best to just be open and honest about what we do.

Thank you

Thanks Nomad. I've enjoyed all of the threads 1-5. Great pictures. Please share as much as you can.

Thanks again.
