Whether it be for 922(r) compliance, caliber conversion, or what have you - which ones do you wish existed?

I'd go for a 7.62x54 AR :p

There used to be a .22LR conversion kit for the Browning 1919 - I'd love to have one of those!

I believe you'd need a longer than standard receiver for that.

Does a 22lr conversion for a Mosin-Nagant exist? It wouldn't make it any cheaper to shoot, but sometimes I could do without the should tenderization.

I would also like an AK in 6 or 6.5x39mm (I'm not sure that 6.5 Grendel could be made to work in an AK very easily).

I once saw a .22LR Mosin Nagant trainer at a gun show. It was very tempting but I couldn’t justify spending $400 the guy wanted for it.

Seems like Shotgun News had a column titled “Baby at the Gates” on how to convert a Mosin Nagant to .22LR. Seems like it involved using a barrel liner

I thought Tromix had a 6.8 or a 6.5 AK?

Almost positive he had a 458 built.

Heck, I can't afford everything I want that is available, let alone wishing up something new!

Why not?

The 6.5 Grendel and 7.62x39 use the same size bolt face, and the cases have the same (or very, very close) length. A new magazine, or maybe just a new follower, and a re-barrel and you could be in business. The only problem could be the OAL of loaded ammo. Although, this would be like putting a silk hat on a pig.

My main concern about the conversion would be whether the dramatically reduced body taper of the Grendel would make it hard to get it to feed.

I might go ahead and get a 6.5 barrel blank to turn down for the AK parts kit I'm putting together, just to try it out.

I'd like to see someone make a carbine that takes 1911 mags, inexpensively. Keltec SUB-2000, Hi-point, something like that.

How much does a Marlin model 45 Camp Carbine go for these days?

Amazing... while checking the Mech-Tech site, I noticed that they have conversion units for Glock and 1911 10mms... so my idea for a 10mm Carbine is already taken.

I'd love to have Kel-Tec make a Sub-2000 carbine that accepted Thompson stick mags. Or a brand-new issue M1 Carbine with a para stock taking Thompson stick mags.

An M1 Carbine in 10mm (again with the para stock) would be nice, too.

AR-15 upper (affordable) that used a BREN-gun feed. Seems that a BREN setup would allow the AR-15 to take any caliber with any kind of cockeyed magazine in the world. Your 5.56 AR can't be converted to a magazine-fed .308? A BREN configuration wouldn't have that problem. Your magazine well would be part and parcel of the upper assembly.
