I really like Tokarev variations but am fairly ignorant of them. I would like for some of the experts to tell me which of the variatiions can be converted to 9mm with the right parts and how hard is it to do. It doesn't look like rocket science, but then again I don't want to run into unexpected trouble. Many thanks in advance

Barrel and bushing are all that's really necessary to convert it to 9mm. AFAIK, that should work with any of them. The magazines are a bit long and could potentially cause feeding issues, though, so a 9mm magazine would be an option as well, which would rule out the Yugos which take special magazines.

Several years ago I purchased a 9x19 barrel for TT33s that utilizes the OEM bushing. The only flavor on which I have tested it is the Polish and it works fine as a drop-in mod. I also acquired 2 special mags that feature spacers in the back to assure smooth/reliable feeding of the shorter cartridges.

You'll like shooting nines in the tok. I have a norinco nine and it shoots very well, accurate and mild.

Norinco 213 mags (with the internal spacer, not the short ones) are still floating around
it's mostly drop in, some require a bushing change, others don't.
