A felony is a crime for which you may be imprisoned for more than one year. Find me any case anywhere that someone actually got a felony conviction for stealing cable.
I personally think this poll is a trap. I think this is done by either a anti gun lobbyist group or a left wing media entertainment show. By asking a bunch of gun nuts whether we think felons should own guns, they will use it on their next attack. "out of large number of right wing extremist on certain well known gun forums believe that violent criminals should be allowed to own guns..."
either give them their rights back,or put them to death. I do not believe in ''half'' citizens. You are either ok to live with the rest of us,or you are not.No sentences over ten years,either...I don't want to support bad guys for that long even. Any other sentence over ten years,I'd have automaticly a death sentence. If it's that serious that we don't want you among us for more than ten years,we don't want you among us at all.At the same time,If you're reformed, you are to be considered reinstated as a citizen.

Posts: 297 There is a process in place that convicted felons can pursue to try and get their right to own a firearm back.

This is a circular argument. We release folk that cannot be trusted to own a firearm, and then we use their presence on the street to deny them specific rights. That is flatly nonsensical.I didn't ask, "Can you think of examples of felons who are non-violent and are not a threat to society except in our sloppy sense of homemaking", I asked "HOW MANY of the felons being released from prison right now are you ready to have carrying guns?" From tens of thousands, you named ONE.
