It's one of those out of the way places that most people don't know about. I'd heard about it years ago, and there was a scene in the movie " Sweet Home Alabama" where some of the actors visit a grave there. That scene was not shot at the actual location BTW, but on a simulated Hollywood set if you've seen the movie. We were passing by within about 10 miles in June 2018 and made the detour to see it.

It shows how attached men can get to their hunting dogs. On several of the recent markers the owners had left their dogs collars and tags.

Now that is quite a tribute man's best friend , I had no clue there was such a place . We bury our dog's here on the property with markings and all, the last two ashes actually sit in nice hand carved boxes here in the house . A man can get attached ,

Thank you for sharing that .

Off Hwy 98 west of Perry, FL there is a road named "Poor Spot Cemetery Road". I assume it was named after a loved dog named Spot.

Thank you jmr40 for posting those photos.

There's the National Hall of Fame cemetery
for fox hounds in east Texas.
It's near Shelbyville in Shelby county

It's the only one I've ever known of just
for hunting dogs.
