Cops are Overwhelmingly AGAINST Gun Control

I can honestly say that the majority of street cops that I know are pro-Second Amendment rights for citizens. Over the years I've met a few who aren't but that's an exception. A few years ago I met the then Washington, DC FOP Chairman Kristopher Baumann. I remember him expressing his wholehearted support for citizen's Second Amendment rights in the wake of the Heller decision.

The majority of chiefs of police in this country are appointed by anti-gun city mayors and county executives. Those cops that you see on stage behind President Obama are either those people, subordinates from their chain of command, or hand picked volunteer props.

The majority of cops though know that if our 2A rights ever got stripped in this country it would only be a matter of time before the anti-gun factions would turn their attention to them.

Most also remember Charlton's "from my cold dead hands". A nationwide ban/confiscation would get ugly fast.

I bought a rifle from an FBI agent once, and I thought he was gonna high-five me when I told him I had a permit and was armed, he seemed genuinely tickled. Wasn't the reaction I was expecting, but I sure was glad to see it.

Oh, and Obummer's recent visit to Denver to gloat over our new gun laws was held in some building in the Denver PD Training Facility, and word was that there were a lot of DPD officers that were none too pleased about it, or pleased about being required to attend and kiss The Annointed One's ring.

It would be interesting and shocking (I assume) to have street cops interviewed in every metropolitan area where gangs, thugs, rapists, murderers, home invaders and other miscreants run rampant and out of control.

I'm talking about a PoliceOne poll inclusive percentage wise to the other respondents.

Are they pro-gun? Do they feel armed CC citizens would help? I think a very different story would unfold in those areas regarding brothers in blue and armed citizens...just look at the laughable facades they have passed in those states with out of control metropolitan crime.
