Cops & Revolvers: Extinct?

I believe Constables in Pennsylvania are allowed to carry revolvers. They need to qualify with them as primary weapons.
 
The Hong Kong Police still use S&W model 10 revolvers, but according to this write up on Wikipedia they are going to transition to something else due to international firearms laws.

I don't think it's "international firearms laws" per se. Apparently it's sanctions from the United States, United Kingdom, and the European Union against Hong Kong for the passage of their national security law, passed after the pro-democracy protests in 2019 in which a lot of police brutality and corruption came to light. Reading about that law, it's pretty much akin to martial law and allows the government to do pretty much anything they want.

While I was mainly referring to the USA, if you look at current Korean movies and Japan various J frames are used by the police. Have to look up the models.
