Corbon DPX in P3AT?

    Anyone have any experience using this ammo in their Kel-tec? I'm concerned about feeding reliability with these HPs.

    Supposedly Corbon designed the DPX around the Kel Tec p38t.

    I have put about 30 rounds of DPX through my P3AT and it shot flawlessly.

    they certainly did. The only two test guns used by Corbon in the desing of the dpx round was the kt 380. It will work great in ur kt 380 and IMO is the best hp round you can shoot out of it to. The all copper barnes bullet will give you 100% expansion every shot and also retains 100% of its bullet weight to. An amazing round, not cheap, but neither is life.

    corbon.com for ammo. buy two boxes, shoot one for reliability concerns and the other for carry and future use.

    Team Corbon posted in the stoppingpower.net NG, that they used an NAA test barrel to do all the DPX 380 testing.

    Well I have over 200 rounds of DPX thru my Kel Tec Has worked every time. I also carry it in my Bersa Thunder, Mustang, PPK/S , at all of my 1911's
    Works in all of them

    sure not what Corbon told the kt forum members a few years ago. They "claim" they used two kt 380 test guns for all of their design and testing. I won't argue for corbon, just repeating what they told us. I would have assumed they would haveused the kt 380 over the NAA as the kt outsells the NAA about 50 to 1. Just my opinion.

    It wasn't the KT forum! It was on the "stoppingpower.net forum" where teamcorbon posts on a regular basis.

    CorBon has had a relationship with North American Arms for some time now.

    Remember CroBon along with NAA developed the hot little 380 round necked down to 32 cal.

    NAA built the pistol for the round and CorBon made the round.

    Because of this relationship, it's only natural CorBon would use an NAA test barrel.

    By the way, Team CorBon when asked what they used in developing the DPX 380 said they didn't use a pistol, but rather a test barrel.

    Not sure where the NAA barrel comments came from. We do have an excellent relationship with NAA and we do use some of their guns in our tests.

    We did however use 2 different Kel Tec P3AT pistols to design the 380 DPX. It is the most popular 380 on the market. To do otherwise wouldn't be right in our opinion. We use other guns for testing the 380 loads, but in developing that specific load, we wanted to make sure it would feed, function and perform out of the Kel Tec. We figured if it would expand out of that short of a barrel, it would certainly perform when fired from a longer one.
