I have my first gun show coming up (vendor) and I want to make friends not enemies. I have about 700 rounds of empty 9mm brass that I want to bag up in 100+ piece bags. I was going to sell for $10 per bag. Too much? Too low? Goldilocks (just right)? Thanks for helpin. :)

9mm brass is usually .02-.05 cents a piece. Unless you have it fully processed then you could probably get .10 cents a piece.

9mm 40sw and 45acp brass has always been able to obtain easy even durning this "panic". So the prices have stayed low.

Around here: .40-$35/k, 9mm-$25/k, .45$45-50/k, .223-$80-100/k. Hope this helps. These are panic prices as of yesterday when I sold about 6k of various calibers.

I think there is a big geographic regional factor. There are a lot of military and military ranges in my area. A lot of guys I get brass from are military personnel training at these ranges. There is a lot of brass available in this area. Much of it is LC &WCC.

As for the price I don't know. As for quantity: If you're selling at a gun show bags of 100 are what I would go with. For internet sales more is usually better, such as how much you can get in a flat rate box. Right now the gun show prices are high, that is where you should get the premium price. Some things I wait until I have viewed other tables to see what was being asked.

geographic prices do not matter much. There are millions and millions of straight walled semi auto brass out there. I can drive an hour to my old range and come home with bags and bags full of it.

Where i live now, hahaha brass you cant find because everyone is smart and reloads. But when i go into shops i still find it .02-.05 a piece. when i traveled i would walk into shops and it was same price. Pretty much range brass is range brass, unless you have it fully processed and headstamped, then the buyers think to themselves, "gee this guy took all that time to process it and headstamp it, that i dont need to" and you will get a few more bucks out of it.

I don't expect many people to even be interested in quantities of 9mm brass below 500. But then again, at a gun show you might pick up a "convenience" buyer who just bought a new gun, or whatnot.

Maybe it's just me, but I've never considered purchasing 9mm in less than 1k quantities. And at around $40 or less.

This. I usually assemble between 300-500 of 9mm at a time.

I agree, bags of 100 are good for gun shows. It allows those with only a little money to by something from you.

Under the current environment, if the brass is high quality and fairly clean I would put a price of between $6 and $7 on a bag of 100 and see how it goes.

I currently sell 9mm brass for $30/500 locally. Those who collect brass at the range or buy online do not buy it. Those who buy it are happy to have it at that price (and I have a hard time keeping any around.) I try to get close to the price of buying it online including shipping. It can be a little higher, because it is right there right now and they do not have to wait. Remember, most of your buyers are going to be looking at small batches and shipping really adds to that price. If I have someone who wants to buy several thousand, I will work a better price for them, or help them buy online.

I still currently buy 9mm range brass at $.03 a piece. Most of it is once fired, some of it is old tired brass from the reloaders, but reloading doesn't have much of a presence here.

I also get some .380 mixed in with my 9mm, I trade it to friends for more 9mm. Out of 1k I will usually get around 30) .380 cases, no big deal for getting mostly really good, mostly, once fired brass.

Gun Shows

No better place for jewelry, jerky, fake Nazi memorabilia, crappy optics, Bin Laden targets, flashlights, and the proverbial "old dude" that sharpens knives on a bench grinder.

Lets see.....
$8.00 parking.
$10.00 entry fee
$7.00 jerky
$3.00 soda.
$25.00 fuel.
dents in the side of your truck free.,

After the input here, that's just what I was thinking. $7 for about 108 rounds (I wanted to be sure I didn't short anybody, so I counted out 105 rounds, then filled the bags by weight, making sure that the weight was not under the 105 mark).

LOL. This is a small arms collectors group in my area. Usually runs about 60-70 tables. They have monthly shows. Annual membership fee is just $20 to join, tables are only $10 each, entry fee is just $3. Its the best deal I have seen in the whole area, and they have constant foot traffic from open to close.

I'd sell them at $5 per bag. It makes change easy and you will most likely sell out at that price. 1k is usually around $35 so you're selling for a slight premium.
