Just as a matter of interest, how much do you lads in the states pay for a case(250 shells).I just got hit for £64.50 for 32g loads:eek: thats pounds sterling, not dollars....

"Promotional" dove loads like Winchester high speed 1 ounce 7 1/2s run under $40 a case here and I don't think they're made in China...:D What would that be, about 20-30 UK lbs? But, we've got to use that blasted steel shot for waterfowl and if you don't like it, the alternative hevi shot is even higher.

A case of Winchester AA or Remington Nitro or STS sell for $58 to $70 per case. Estates sell for about $45-50 per case. There are sales that lower these prices about 10-15%.

I'm a target shooter so I don't really know the non-toxic or hunting loads prices.

Same over here with the non toxic loads, i would have to sell one of the children to afford a box of them!! Guy in the shop said they are going up another 10% next order. (the shells that is)....

I live in southern California. I just bought 10 cases (flats) of Estate 12ga, 1oz #8, for $48 a case delivered to my home.

Cabela's had a sale, no tax and no shipping.

48.00 USD = 24.28 GBP = 33.31 EUR

These are lead sporting clays shells. Not hunting shells.

You can get shells for as low as $40.00 a case 10 boxes of 25 shells to as much as $125.00 a case for 1 1/8 ounce #7 steel shot.

The problem is the steel is becoming the new trend now since people are becoming convinced that lead shot and cow farts are killing the planet.

More and more shooting events and hunting areas are going to steel shot loads and this doubles the price of shells.
