Cost of Defensive Handgun
FMJ bullets are produced in mass - which lowers the cost. Went on a tour of the Sierra factory a few years back. Tend to remember it is also much easier to produce. Mention was previously made to QC costs. Actually I would expect the tolerances on defensive handgun bullets are tighter. This means more lots rejected. On the FMJ lots, the chances for rejecting a lot are greatly reduced. The lots are smaller since volume produced and sold are much lower. Also packaged in 20 rounds boxes. Where I work, any item sold in smaller quantities is always jacked up. Its a common business practice.
