couple things I saw on this guy's pictures of shot site http://www.woodsmonkey.com/ss14_day1_gallery that I have not seen on a million other "shot show highlights" pages (I am not affiliated with woodsmonkey, but I do appreciate all the pictures. especially how he showed a lot of knives and non-gun-related items in addition to the guns):
sage has released a stock/chassis for the m1 carbine. If you ever thought to yourself, "man if only the m1 carbine weighed 2.5lbs more, cost a fortune, and had rails all over it" this is the stock for you.
Also, keltec showed the 1 pmr-30 they ever intend to build as a tease, hinting that they might make more some day. Nobody, not even the guy in the picture, got very excited though, realizing that at this point, keltec is pretty much a prototyping and design firm that makes a few ccw pistols on the side. It's like they are sitting on a spare us treasury mint, but don't want to turn it on and make money because they don't want to pay for the power to run the machines that make the blasted money! if you don't want to bother manufacturing a gun, farm it out! It works for browning, winchester, weatherby, etc. Or sell the design.......grrrrr. getting off soapbox now.
Speaking of things the size of soap, taurus showed the smallest most awkward model 85 ever made. They saw their goals are to shrink it even further, next year hoping to ship just a cylinder, and in 2016, just sell the model 85 tactical rubber band that keeps 5 rounds of 38 together in your pocket.
CZ also showed some cool stuff you will ever see in america, the booth babes were just hired to stand there going "nanner nanner you can't have it" Maybe it will show up a video game some day........
I'd love to see anything else that was neat that didn't make headlines, so if you have pictures or links, share 'em! (especially of the benelli ethos. yum yum yum)
