RRA 10.5" Magpul MOE stock and handguard.

Second upper:

RRA 7" slicked barrel, Magpul MBUS sights. Sweet handling little SBR that digests anything it's fed except JHP rounds. Fairly light too.

My JPH pet load is a tad short OAL for the feed ramp on this carbine. If I decrease the seat depth towards the top end of acceptable specs, it would be just fine.

As I don't use anything but FMJ rounds in it anyway, its not a big deal for me.

Is that a dedicated 9mm lower, or did you use a 9mm adapter block in a standard lower. I plan on sending in the forms to do an AR SBR next week.

If its a 9mm block, which brand?

Does it feed factory 9mm JHP -- things like Winchester SXT or Gold Dots?

It's a .223 receiver with a RRA adapter. I like the ability to use the Colt or modified Uzi mags over the Sten Mag based Olympic upper.

I have done no JPH testing other than some of my personal 115G JPH loads. My guess is that a 124g or 147g JPH which is a bit longer seated close to max Cart OAL would stand a better chance of function.

Pretty nice rifles. Only thing I would change is the grip. I just can't stand the standard AR grip. Magpul makes a nice one without the finger bump.

I'm partial to the standard A2 grip. Haven't found any others that I am comfortable with.

Longest lead time item was the RRA upper. 5 months on that one.

Other than that, simply pushing the pins on my properly registered SBR and installing a 9mm hammer, mag block, buffer, and the upper.

Once all the parts were in my hands, the conversion took about 4 minutes.
