Where can I find a site on the web that shows how to dissasemble the 92 to change springs etc.?Who has the best price on reliable Beretta hi-cap mags?Thanks in advance.

it is an easy gun to field strip ... do you have the manual?

bill wilson also produced a nice video on how to maintain it...if you have questions about proper techniques and procedures on maintaining the gun i would recommend you pick one up....

I recently had the springs in my 92fs inox changed...recoil spring, hammer spring & firing pin spring. I had bought the gun used & was told a spring change would be a smart move. I had the work done by a Beretta armorer 9so if anything went wrong, I had some recourse). So far, all's well.

I agree with you Swamp Yankee. I bought a couple of mags from them. If I decide I need more, I would probably buy from them again.

The ONLY thing is that I "felt" like the springs were a bit weak. They functioned fine but I ordered a set of Wolff +10% mag springs and replaced them as a precaution. (I am not afraid to use these as carry mags. They have never failed me - even before I replaced the springs.) -For the money, I'd say they are tough to beat.

my problem with asian military mags is the feed lips: they're not tight enough.

during a tactical reload, it doesn't hit hard enough to release the slide (because it's a lighter metal than the factory ones) and the top round goes flying out the ejection port or ends up standing straight up, still in the mag, pointing out the ejection port.

if I could bend them in a little bit more, I'd love 'em. however, I don't have good tools to do that with (just my leatherman and other household-type ones), so I don't plan on using them.

maybe I'll trade them 2:1 for factory hi-caps at a gunshow or something.

I know how to fieldsrip it.I was wondering how to change the hammer spring to reduce weight of pull.

Unload and remove the slide from the frame.Remove the grip panels and at the bottom right of the frame you will find a pin.Apply pressure to the lanyard/spring cap to release the tension and push out the pin.The spring and cap can now be removed.Replace with new spring,being carefull to make sure the new spring goes around the hammer strut not wedged beside it.Reassemble in reverse order.
