A few years ago there was a story in the local paper about a new 1,000 yard rifle range that was supposed to open in St. Tammany Parish, LA.

It seams to have dropped off the radar. Does anyone have any info on this?

Palo Alto is 600 yds in Donaldsonville. Southern shooting center is 300 (IIRC) and had plans to expand. Fusilier Complex is supposed to expand at some point and is in Arnaudville. A few 200 yd range are also available.

I am a member of Long Range Alley in Grand Cane, LA. A legit 1000 yard range that hosts matches. I'm not personaly involved in long range rifle and we are a "fur piece" north of you. But we ARE here.
