Last week while I was on a hunt with Team Realtree, the guys were telling me about a trick they used to catch coyotes. It may seem cruel, but I would like to try it. First they got a trebble hook, and ran a skinny copper wire threw the end. Then they put a piece of meat on the end of the hook, and whenever the coyote would walk by, it would smell the meat and jump up and try to catch it, and get stuck on the hook. Anyone else tried this? Btw, if you do want to try it, it doesn't matter what meat you use.

Three questions
1) Are you serious?
2) Who is Team Realtree?
3) Why would anyone do this?

One answer
1) No...I haven't tried it and never will.

This crap is what gives hunters bad names. I would turn you in an instant if I knew you where doing it, and if it was not illegal, I would follow with an air horn.

Jimmeny H. Crickets! This is about the 5th pure-dee TROLL POST I've read today.

Y'all have GOT to stop feeding these fruitcakes, 'cause they appear to be multiplying.

Is there an election cycle coming up, or sumpthin??

you are kidding. PLEASE tell me you are kidding.

Anyone who does that is a total ***** and jackass and deserves to be thrown in jail. Not only does crap like that give ALL hunters a bad image it is also wrong and goes anginst any sense of sportsmenship. Even people that chase their prey up a tree at least get a hunt out of it. They don't let an animal hang from a hook. Hell even with a paw trap the animal can rest and not yank at it.

This is a prarallel to the same sort of nasty-little-children types who'd cast a shrimp high in the air so a pelican or seagull would grab it.

I can see a young and ignorant person doing it once out of thoughtless ignorance and a bit of innate meanness, but for anybody to do it more than once, or advocate others doing it? Nasty, evil, henhouse-ways, sorry, trashy, low-rent...

Anybody doing that would have to look up to see whale-poop, and you can't get much lower than the bottom of the ocean.

I find the thought distasteful, myself. Art and Byron, please excuse my bad manners while I close this thread, and tend to some paperwork.
