ok, has anyone else started using Craigslist for used firearm puchases? Craigslist is a free classified service boken down for metro areas. Try it out, there are some good deals out there.

They have a very specific no-firearms clause in their TOS if you read the details.

It's based out of ********** so that pretty much is all that needs to be said. That and the peace sign next to the web address.

    kill me

    you guys kill me.

In my opinion, their TOS on firearms pertains to California only. If they want to ban firearms, that is when I stop using it.

I wonder if you email "Craig" if he would be for or against firearms, did he put that disclaimer in his TOS as CYA because of state laws or does he really forbid firearm listings on principle.

Everyone that bashes Californians really needs to go there and meet some CALIFORNIANS, the ones that live outside Orange County and the Bay area. I have met more rednecks, lifers and down to earth folks in Cali then in many other parts of this country. It is a shame the state is overrun with transplants/immigrants, the real Californians would have a pretty nice place there without them.

Might as well use it while you can but I assure you if the admins found out they'd probably ban your account. They are not gun friendly really.

    My sentiments exactly!
90% of people in the bay area come from some other state.

Even here in the Bay Area guns are listed for sale. Sometimes they get taken off, sometimes the ad stays up. I've bought related gear from a CL poster and the deal was fine. Rants and Raves is a hoot too.

Craig himself is an enthusiastic communitarian socialist, which makes it all the funnier that so many acts of capitalism take place on his site. What was it that Lenin said about the capitalists selling the rope used to hang them? Heh!

    guns specifically not allowed..

but they seem okay with gun parts or related items like relaoding stuff.
I see at least one gun ad on ther a day in Porland, but they do get yanked.
The stuf they allow on the Erotic forum is ok to them though. :what:
