Im not sure if ill keep it and if you read my recent thread about agonizing over buying it from a co-worker youll remember this.Im not sure what theyre called, but from the "drag marks" on the cylinder, id guesstimate that its sent a couple thousand rounds downrange. They arent bad at all but they are visible.
The front of the barrel about an inch back has a small thin bluing area on each side from being kept in the Hunter holster thats in the picture its entire life.Maybe you can date it for me.The box is blue and says "Smith & Wesson, A Bangor Punta company".The gun is a model 34-1 and has a serial # of "M1948XXX".We settled on a price of $240.00 and i think i may be crazy to have payed this much.I probably couldnt get this much back if i sell it.It came with the holster and three boxes of the pictured ammo.My digital camera has no macro mode, this is as close as i can get.

That's not a bad deal on that gun at all.

Your gun, BTW, was made in 1982 (I'm assuming you meant M1948xx ;) ). Is the barrel pinned?
