Hi,

I've to an older Leapers 3-9x32. Every once in a while when I'm shooting it, the reticle tilts.

No, the scope is not loose in the rings and the rifle barrel is tight. It's neither of those things.

It really is the reticle. It tilts 5-10% clockwise (to the right).

The cure is (don't laugh) when I place the rifle in the carrying case and put it in my car trunk, I place the case so the scope lays on it's left side.

The reticle slides back into place. And once it's back into place it takes quite a few rounds before it shifts again.

I mean it's somehow obviously loose but not that loose. I have tried tapping both the left and right sides of the objective lens in the palm of my hand to get it to repeat the reticle shifting but it doesn't do it.

How is this possible? I figure, "loose is loose," but that doesn't seem to be the case.

That scope is broken. Plain and simple.

Leapers isn't a quality optic, so I wonder if they have any warranty.

Go buy yourself something nicer.

Yep!

It would be cheaper in the long run then wasting all that ammo and not hitting anything.
