Speaking of SoCal, where's the Orange County Sheriffs' range?
Are the ranges on Jeffrey Road and Silverado Canyon in Orange County still open? One was the Southcoast Gun Club, I believe. I thought the one on Jamboree was closed, but looking at the satellite view makes me think there might be room out there... Can't quite tell.
Hey, great minds think alike! I just did the same thing, with ranges in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. I will copy my locations to your map soon when I am not so tired. Google Maps is so cool.
If anyone is familiar with Yahoo! Pipes, they could probably create a pipe where you enter a state and it goes and extracts the ranges for that state from the HTML source of the NRA range finder and outputs the locations on a map.
I posted three for Arkansas. I know there are many more. One good place to find shooting ranges all over the country is the NRA web site shooting range directory( Directory link ). As, for the sticky I vote that it gets stapled to the top of the Rallying Point forum. That seems to be a better place in my opinion.
If you're not sure if you are adding sites correctly, make sure you DON'T "save" when you are exiting. Somehow one of the ranges I entered in South Carolina ended up being moved into the Pacific Ocean, just west of Mexico.
Can't imagine saltwater would be very good for the pistolas.
