Hi guys. My new neighbor has a problem. He lost his right arm to an IED in Iraq, so now he has a hard time shooting a pistol. He bought a Crimson Trace Laser grip for his Gen III Glock 22 to aid in aiming the pistol. The problem is that the sight will not adjust low enough to shoot to POA of his sights. When you look down the sights the "dot" is about 8 inches high at 20 yards. It came with a shim to adjust this but it still doesn't adjust low enough. Is it possible that Grip was made for a Gen II Glock? Would it make a difference. Thanks guys.

You know, I don't know the exact answer to your question, but I recall visiting another forum a while back and someone from Crimson Trace posted there quite often. I would think that if you or your friend called CT they would be more than willing to help answer any question you may have. To actually try to ansewr you question...I don't know if the generation of Glock has anything to do with it...does he have the grip mounted laser? Mike

Yeah, it is the grip mounted laser. Sorry if my first post was confusing. I was in a hurry. Basically, he has adjusted the laser to it's lowest possible point of aim and the laser still prints approximately 8 inches above the POA of the sights at 20 yards. He installed the shim that was shipped with the sight and it still will not adjust low enough. He has sent it back to CT once already and they supposedly recalibrated the sight, but it is still pointing just as high as ever. I was just wondering if there were any signifigant changes in grip angle or size between the Gen II and Gen III Glock pistols. I can't tell that anything has changed other than the finger grooves which I like so much.
