I just found this rifle in my local gs....fantastic bore, wood excellent, and a shooter. Very low (two digits - note: actually three counting the 0xx)) serial number. I only had four rounds from an old Contender barrel.....one behind a barrier for test, two shots touching at 30 yards, and a flyer when I used the set for the last shot...feels less than 1# my gauge is limited to.

Maybe if I ask a question I'll get a response:

I am looking for a mini-Mauser extractor for a bolt face.....I believe a Remington 799 extractor is of the mauser type. Would anyone know if the Rem 799 is a true Mauser extractor? Thank you in advance!
