Anybody know good custom grip maker for my 1911. I want to have an old insignia put on. And My name, As well as I want it to look like nothing my buds have.

Like made out of some kind of metal.

    Thanks THR

If you have a *.jpg file of your art work, www.gungrips.net can laser engrave it on a set of AlumaGrips for you.

IIRC... the cost was only around $20 over the price of plain grips.

    Good Luck...

Gungrips also does plastic grips in black and white and wood grips. Lots of good examples on their web site. I plan on ordering a set with my ship's crest on it as a present to myself when I get relieved of command.

I think grips are one of the easiest (and cheapest) ways to "personalize" a 1911. I expect I'll end up with many more sets of grips than I have 1911 pistols!
