Anybody know someone who does quality custom leatherwork? I want a nice gunbelt and holster for the new Mateba I'm gonna be gettin' sometime in the future. :D I'm gettin' the 8" in .454 Casull, so I'd need .45 Colt cartridge loops. I'd like the holster to be of a drop-leg type (pullin' 8"+ off your belt would be too hard... haha).

So, anyone got any suggestions as to where I could start lookin'/asking around?

check out Sam Andrews at www.andrewsleather.com. he's down in FLA; good quality work; Sam's been at this for over 20 years and the quality is there. his pricing is very good, so he does have a wait-time--that just shows me that he's good at his game.

Try Bill Brown in Tombstone, AZ.
Hey, that's only like 20 minutes from me! I'm in Ft. Huachuca/Sierra Vista, AZ. I might have to go check him out.

Thank you everybody for the massive amount of links! I appreciate it a lot and am checking them all out right now. I'll post back if I find one I like! You guys rule!

Me again. I searched the sites and found that I'm trying to pick between 3 makers, but all the same style, basically. Here they are:

Drop Loop Buscadero and Mexican Loop Holster
Another Buscadero
And finally, a Vaquero style

The only thing is I'm hoping that if I choose on one of these leathersmiths, they'll be able to form the holster around the Mateba's larger frame. All of the above holsters were designed for thinner single-action revolvers.

If you got a leather factory or similar store check in there. You usually find a bunch of cards put up for that work.

How about something a bit more modern....

Scroll down a bit, maybe he could make something to fit the Mateba.
Which one were you talking about? The Field Flap Holster or the Tactical Thigh Holster?

I'm looking for a drop holster, and if I was going to carry the Mateba for any extended period of time, I'd probably be wearing a long coat for concealment. I just wonder if he could make one of the thigh holsters to fit my Mateba?

I do like that look, though, as far as a modern style holster goes... It's a nice urban option.

The tactical thigh holster. I've been saving up for one, for my GP100 6". Not to CCW but it looks comfortable if I would ever need to open carry.

Another recomendation for Bob Mernickle.I have 2 of His fast-draw rigs and the workmanship is Outstanding.
