Can't help you there, but nice find if it's yours. Thats one beautiful rifle.

Rifle

It is mine. Bought it from a reitred FFL whom I have bought 5-6 guns from. No SN I can find. Crown proof marks. I will try to get pics of the proofs.

The back of the bolt does scream Swedish Mauser.

Crown proofs... a CG or Husky rather than an Oberndorf.

If it still has the original trigger, Dayton-Traister makes a fine replacement, although the rear of the bolt will be altered. Does it still cock on closing and has the mag follower been altered to prevent closing on an open chamber?

Regards,
Rabbit.

I just love a beautifully "bubba'd" military gun! It would be hard to find a fine looking gun like that newly produced today.

I wouldn't call that "bubba'd"--that's a beautiful rifle, and I would call it "sporterized". One of the rare examples where the end result is more beautiful than the original product, IMO.
