Yes, if you are in possession of the gun and permit.
It may be questionable if there's a passenger in the front seat with closer, more immediate "access" to your firearm. Even more questionable if that person is under 18-21.
You should have (or get) the book "Everything You Need to Know About (Legally) Carrying a Handgun in Minnesota." I believe it has the actual statute in the back.
