Seems Bill Laffridge of Cylinder & SLide has created a repo.
of the Colt 1903 Pocket pistol - the originals were in .32 ACP
this prototype is in .45 ACP. WIth some very nice touches in
the execution of making it handle the larger cartrdige.

I frequent the site to see what they have been testing
so if the above link doesn't lead directly to the review/test
hit the link that takes you to the latest issue.

I wouldn't call it a Model 1903 repro; it is an M1911 type with a concealed hammer. The Model 1903 Pocket Hammerless is a straight blowback pistol scaled to fire the .32/.380 cartridges. Except maybe in general silhouette, it is not anything like the pictured gun.

Still, it is intriguing. Now if he could come up with a 9x19 about the same size as the M1903 or the French M1935A, it might be of interest.

I'd be more impressed if he was making a new 1903 in 9mm or still in .380. That thing looks like an obviously worked 1911 derivative.

im thinking 9mm, rotating barrel, mimicing the external lines of the 1903.

* original idea hoppy's. willing to license it for a free pistol! :p

I love my 1903 and 1908's and occasionally carry them. However, as much as I like .45 ACP, a replica of a 1903 in .45 just isn't appealing to me.
