Powder Inc. makes a Cap and Ball Cylinder Loader.

Here is a link to it.

Question??? Has anyone bought one of these critters? How did it work out for you?

I'm still spending the kids inheritance money, so I ordered one today. I have heard some great things about it from several folks who have been into this Black Powder Thing for decades. So I figured instead of spending my money on some of the cheaper ones or buying a couple of separate loaders for .36 of .44/.50 Cal I would just go ahead and get the one that does it all.

So I'm going to get an adult beverage, just kick back for a while and see if anyone has anything to say about one that they have bought.

Thanks

I have several, the ''press'' type by Powder Inc. which is mostly sitting in my gunbox, and one each of the little caliber specific tools, which are much simpler to use, being just a handle, a rammer and a stand. Both types are good, but I find I use the stand and lever types the most, with my Powder inc stand being used mainly for my Pocket Remington.the Powder Inc is, as far as I know the only loader that handles the little .31.I use my .36 caliber specific stand the most though, as I only own one .44.

I have the latest D/D Tower of Power and I can attest to how well it works...even when I can use the "on board" loader I don't. It's so easy to get the cylinder out and use the loader....it just isn't worth doing it "on gun".

I have the one from Powder Inc. I like it. Once you get it set up it simplifies loading and I believe makes for more uniform loading and better accuracy. Also, lubing the loaded slugs is a lot neater. I do change it around some as I load .31, .36, & .44 cap and ball revolvers in both Remington and Colt configurations. The Powder Inc. loader handles them all very nicely.

I have two powder inc loaders.
Great product.
I've loaded everything from .31 pockets to Walkers on 'em.
I can load up two cap guns while watching the unloading table at a match with only 2-3 shooters going by.
Dick Dastardly's is also a great product.
I acquired both of mine before he went into production.
Buy either one -- it's a life time product & you won't regret buying it.

I have one that 6gun4fun made me a few years ago, but he appears to have dropped off the face of the earth. His loader works great it is a shame it did'nt take off.
