I used to have one in .40
It worked, but the trigger was terrible. I sold it, and really don't remember much about it. So that tells me it was lackluster at best.

I had a 9mm. They are nicely made and typically CZ quailty. BUT the trigger is the most god-awful abomination to ever grace a gun. It's very heavy, very long, and very spongy (if that's a word). It makes the triggers on my S&W Sigmas feel light and crisp. As with the Sigma, I found it possible to master the trigger (with much practice). There are some things that can be done to help the trigger a bit but it will still be long and heavy. I didn't like the adjustable sights. The gun pointed well and felt good in the hand. Ergos were probably at least on par with the Sigma/M&P guns and may have been slightly better. It had a really neat loaded chamber indicator that stuck out slightly (almost looked like a ball bearing inset into the slide) on the right side of the gun when it was loaded. I traded mine b/c it was getting left at home far too often during range trips and I found a S&W 686 I wanted but didn't want to pay the full amount for it. Sometimes I still think I should have kept it.

Light (for a service sized CZ,as they were once issued to the Czech Police
before the P-01) compact, points well and very reliable. Also has a DAO trigger that some new shooters really like. Very safe as that gun isn't going to discharge without some real effort on the trigger. Amazing accuracy for a DAO gun. Goes bang every time IF you can live with that trigger.
LIke the SIGMA, the price is right on the CZ100 and new shooters take that
into consideration. Having shot both guns, I prefer the CZ.

I have a CZ 100 in 40S&W and it is my carry piece. As others here have indicated, the trigger is nothing to write home about, but there are a few tweaks that can be done to make the trigger pull bearable.
Trigger notwithstanding, the ergonomics are incredible and, as with most other CZ pistols, accuracy is very, very good. Out of the box, the CZ 100 suffers from having a rather weak recoil spring which makes for very harsh recoil when shooting factory loads, but this is easily rectified by replacing the spring with an aftermarket one intended for a compact Glock (it's a drop-in fit for the CZ 100). I have a 24 lb. recoil spring in my CZ 100, and recoil is not an issue with that.
