The RAMI is slightly larger and heavier. Even with the grip adapter..The Glock 26 always felt like it was going to fly out of my hand when I shot it. No such problem with my RAMI using the stock mag.
Both guns are equally reliable, with a slight edge to the RAMI for accuracy.
For first time buyers who don't know how to lower the hammer on a live round, or those uncomfortable with cocked an locked carry, the Glock
is for them.
Alot of people carry the G26/G27 and really like them. Fewer carry the RAMI
in 9mm/40, but both guns have their places for CCW. You can ankle carry
a Baby Glock..I don't know of anyone who does that with a RAMI.
There is also a polymer framed RAMI - slightly lighter, otherwise the same gun functionally.
Some people feel the RAMI is a compromised CZ - I think they are more focused on the sub-compact issue but there are differences. The RAMI seems to bring out emotions in the CZ crowd and the anti-CZ crowd alike. The James Dean of the handgun world apparently.
Not a strongly popular gun, but you don't hear a great many complaints (though to do hear a few). Between the 9mm and the 40S&W the 9mm seems to fare a little better.
Almost bought one - a minor screw-up on the part of an on-line merchant caused me to give up and cancel the order - since then I've pretty much filled out my gun budget with other guns.
Good luck with yours - odds are you'll be happy with the RAMI.
IMO the Rami is a much nicer gun than a Glock. I love the Rami .40. The fit and finish are very nice and it sits so naturally in my hand where the glocks do not. With that said, Glocks are a proven firearm that can not really be discounted on any level. I'd love to buy a Glock but they just don't point naturally well for me.
Thanks for the replies. I have owned a G17 in the past and thought highly of it. However, I can see where some think that Glocks don't point naturally. I like the idea of single action and a manual safety. Now on the CZ Rami...I don't know much about this gun, but I read it can be fired in either DA or SA. Can SA be obtained in rapid fire or do you have to thumb cock each time for SA?
I love all the things that make Glocks popular, simplicity, durability, reliability...but I know I could probably be a better shooter with a SA trigger
The CZ-2075 RAMI is my wifes' carry gun, and she loves it. The only malfuntions it has seen is FTF with my early, bad reloads, never factory stuff. It is lightweight, easy to operate, and accurate.
Old photo.
Here it is with optional 14 round extended magazine.
It is a traditional DA/SA auto, which now comes standard with one 10 and one 14 round mag - I had to go hunt for hers.
Good choice, and has one huge overarching quality - it's not a g-rock.
