i finaly seen why everyone likes the czs i went to gander today and picked one up it felt so smooth and looked classy i liked it alot it was $450. i also picked up a savage mark 2 btvs this felt about equal in smoothness and i know both are very accurate guns [i just read a test on the savage] i also like the acu trigger but im not realy a savage fan. the savage was $405 in stainless. what do you guys like better?

I have a CZ 452, never shot the Savage so I can't talk about that one.
The CZ is exceptionally accurate. Based on that I bought a CZ 75B which is also
exceptionally accurate. :) Next is probably a CZ 550. CZ needs to make more guns!
Like a nice semi-auto .308 sporter! One can dream.

Also, you can usually get the 452 for less then $450 depending on the model. Mine was ~$350.

I have them both and prefer the CZ over the Savage as far as .22lr's go.

I only have the CZ 452 but know enough about Savage's to expect them to shoot great. That said the longer I shoot my CZ the better it gets and the more I like it! I don't expect the Savage to out shoot the CZ so it comes down to which you personally like the best.

Chevy;

I've had them both, and still have the CZ. But, I've posted about this to you before.

I also have both if you want to call the Savage Mark II Classic the equal of the BTVS model. I like both and frankly am not a huge CZ guy, but I'm glad I have the CZ also. Do what I did, get both.

It's definitely the right *question*; you cannot go wrong. But as has been said, the CZ is a bit more refined / pretty.

Go with the CZ 452! Just make sure you see the one you buy. CZ's seem to have a very wide range of stock colors, grain.... I have the 452 American with the 16 inch barrel and it will shoot as good as anything and is the handiest rifle around!

though I am a huge cz fan, it is very hard to pass on that savage, even more so in stainless... it got such unbelievably killer reviews, some of which were by centerfire rifle dorks, who didn't even shoot 22's, or ever shoot anything close to benchrest style.
I say, you can't go wrong either way, but I may have to try the savage, all things being equal in the accuracy dept let's say. then that gives you a rifle, that is in stainless, and is a bit cheaper.
